Training and Access

Use of the NMR Facility is limited to UCSB faculty, staff, postdocs, and students in accordance with the following guidelines:

• Faculty, staff, postdocs, and students who have not undergone training and certification may submit samples to be run by Facility personnel. This option is recommended for, and may be imposed upon, users who have questionable instrument-competence or infrequent need for NMR data.
• Only faculty, staff, postdocs, and students who have undergone certification and have received a password may operate the instruments without direct supervision.
• Financial responsibility is implicitly agreed to as a result of Facility use.
• Use of the Facility falls within the guidelines for sponsored research. In-house rates apply for UCSB research only.
